Indication
- Major depressive episodes - Anxiety associated with depression - Sleep disturbances in depression
Ingredients
- Agomelatine
Direction
Take one 25mg tablet orally once daily at bedtime. If symptoms do not improve after two weeks, the dose may be increased to 50mg daily.
Side effects
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Increased liver enzymes
Precautions
- Monitor liver function (LFTs) regularly
- Contraindicated in hepatic impairment
- Avoid alcohol consumption
- Not recommended for children/adolescents
- Caution in patients over 75 years
