Indication
- Hypercholesterolemia - Hypertriglyceridemia - Mixed dyslipidemia (Type IIa, IIb, III, IV, V) - Reducing cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients
Ingredients
- Fenofibrate
Direction
Take orally once daily with a main meal to improve absorption. Swallow the capsule or tablet whole with water.
Side effects
- Abdominal pain
- Nausea or vomiting
- Increased liver enzymes
- Muscle pain (myalgia)
- Headache
- Skin rash
Precautions
- Contraindicated in severe renal impairment
- Contraindicated in liver dysfunction
- History of gallbladder disease
- Monitor for muscle pain or weakness
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding
