Indication

Topical antisepsis and disinfection of minor superficial wounds, small burns and the skin before procedures.

Ingredients

• Povidone iodine 10% equivalent to 1% available iodine

Direction

For external use only. Apply full strength to the affected skin or dilute 1:10 with water or sterile saline for wound washing, as directed by a healthcare professional.

Side effects

• May cause local irritation
• contact dermatitis or an allergic reaction. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if these occur.

Precautions

• Avoid the eyes
• swallowing
• large areas
• deep wounds and prolonged use. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant
• breastfeeding
• treating a young child
• or if thyroid disease or iodine allergy is present. Stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
