Indication
- Hypertension (high blood pressure) - Heart failure management - Acute myocardial infarction (post-heart attack) - Diabetic nephropathy management
Ingredients
- Lisinopril
Direction
Take orally once daily, usually at the same time each day, with or without food. Dosage should be adjusted based on clinical response as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Persistent dry cough
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Diarrhea
- Hyperkalemia (high potassium)
Precautions
- Contraindicated in pregnancy (fetal toxicity)
- History of angioedema
- Monitor blood potassium levels
- Risk of symptomatic hypotension
- Renal function monitoring required
- Avoid use with aliskiren in diabetics
