Indication
- Painful mouth and throat conditions - Sore throat relief - Esophagitis pain - Topical anesthesia for medical procedures - Dental procedure pain management
Ingredients
- Lidocaine Hydrochloride
Direction
For oral/pharyngeal use, swish the viscous gel in the mouth and then spit out or swallow as directed by a physician. Avoid eating or drinking for at least 60 minutes after application to prevent aspiration.
Side effects
- Numbness of the mouth and tongue
- Temporary loss of taste
- Burning or stinging at application site
- Dizziness if absorbed systemically
- Allergic reactions (rare)
Precautions
- Risk of choking/aspiration while numb
- Do not exceed recommended dosage
- Risk of biting tongue or cheeks
- Use cautiously in liver disease patients
- Monitor for signs of systemic toxicity
