Promethazine Syrup (P.P.M.) 0.1%, 5 mg / 5 mL, 100 mL

Indication

Symptomatic relief of various allergic conditions such as rhinitis, conjunctivitis, pruritus, urticaria and allergic skin reactions, and for the prevention of motion sickness.

Ingredients

• Promethazine hydrochloride equivalent to promethazine 5 mg per 5 mL (0.1%)

Direction

Children 2 to 5 years: 5 mL, three times a day. Children 5 to 12 years: 5 to 10 mL, two to three times a day. Children over 12 years: 10 to 20 mL, up to four times a day. Adults: 20 mL, four to five times a day, or as directed by a doctor.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• dry mouth
• dizziness
• blurred vision or an allergic reaction such as rash may occur. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if these occur.

Precautions

• May cause drowsiness — do not drive or operate machinery after taking it
• and avoid alcohol. Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep out of reach of children. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant
• breastfeeding or giving it to a young child. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or an allergic reaction occurs.
