Indication
Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever in infants and children, such as fever, headache, toothache and muscular pain.
Ingredients
- Paracetamol 125 mg per 5 mL
Direction
Give by mouth according to age and weight: 4 to 11 months 2.5 mL; 12 to 23 months 5 mL; 2 to 5 years 5 mL; 6 to 8 years 10 mL; 9 to 11 years 12.5 mL; over 12 years 15 mL. The dose may be repeated every 4 to 6 hours if needed; do not exceed 4 doses a day.
Side effects
- Side effects may include nausea
- stomach upset
- dizziness
- drowsiness or an allergic reaction such as rash or itching. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if these occur.
Precautions
- Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep out of reach of children. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant
- breastfeeding
- taking other medicines or have a chronic illness. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or an allergic reaction occurs.
