Indication

Tricyclic antidepressant used for the treatment of depressive episodes and, at lower doses, for certain chronic pain conditions, as prescribed by a physician.

Ingredients

• Amitriptyline (as hydrochloride) 25 mg per film
• coated tablet

Direction

Read the leaflet carefully before use. Take exactly as prescribed by the physician; the dose must be increased and decreased gradually. Do not use during pregnancy unless no therapeutic alternative is available. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Contains lactose and sodium.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• dry mouth
• dizziness
• blurred vision or an allergic reaction such as rash may occur. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if these occur.

Precautions

• May cause drowsiness — do not drive or operate machinery after taking it
• and avoid alcohol. Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep out of reach of children. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant
• breastfeeding or giving it to a young child. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or an allergic reaction occurs.
