Indication
Lactulose solution in single-dose sticks for the treatment of constipation and for the prevention and treatment of hepatic encephalopathy.
Ingredients
- Lactulose 667 mg per mL
Direction
Oral route. Adults: 15 to 45 mL starting dose. Children 7 to 14 years: 15 mL. Children 1 to 6 years: 5 to 10 mL. Infants under 1 year: up to 5 mL. See the leaflet for full dosage and administration. Store below 30°C. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Side effects
- Side effects may include nausea
- stomach upset
- dizziness
- drowsiness or an allergic reaction such as rash or itching. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if these occur.
Precautions
- Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep out of reach of children. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant

- taking other medicines or have a chronic illness. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or an allergic reaction occurs.
