Calvit-D 500 mg / 200 IU

Indication

Treatment and prophylaxis of calcium deficiency states: rickets and malnutrition in children, osteoporosis in the elderly. Supplement of calcium for subjects who need an increase in calcium demand — children during the growth phase, pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers.

Ingredients

• Calcium gluconate 500 mg
• Vitamin D3 (as dry vitamin D3 100 GFP) 200 IU (per film
• coated tablet)

Direction

Adults: oral dose of 1 tablet twice daily. Children: oral dose of 1 tablet once to twice daily. Treatment of rickets in children: oral dose of 2 tablets twice daily. Treatment of osteoporosis in adults: oral dose of 2 tablets, 3 times daily. Or as directed by the physician. Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to any component, impaired renal function, hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria and vitamin D poisoning. Store in dry places, not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.

Side effects

• Mild stomach upset or an allergic reaction may occur in sensitive individuals. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if these occur.

Precautions
