Indication
Mucolytic for respiratory conditions characterized by excessive or viscous mucus.
Ingredients
- Carbocysteine 100 mg per 5 mL
Direction
Children 2–5 years: 5 mL once or twice daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
Side effects
- Mild gastrointestinal symptoms and nausea may occur.
Precautions
- Do not use in children under 2 years unless directed by a physician.
- Do not use with a known hypersensitivity to carbocysteine.
- Do not use in active peptic ulcer disease.
