Indication
Mucolytic for respiratory disorders with excessive or viscous mucus.
Ingredients
- Carbocysteine 250 mg per 5 mL
Direction
Adults: 15 mL three times daily. Children 5–12 years: 5 mL three times daily. Children 2–5 years: 1.25–2.5 mL four times daily. Take with food.
Side effects
- Mild gastrointestinal symptoms and nausea may occur.
Precautions
- Do not use with a known hypersensitivity to carbocysteine.
- Do not use in active peptic ulcer disease.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use in pregnancy or when symptoms persist.
