Zincofer Liquid Per 15 mL: 225 mg / 50 mg / 1.5 mg / 7.5 mcg / 44.4 mg

Indication

Iron- and nutritional-deficiency anaemias, including anaemias associated with pregnancy or worm infestation.

Ingredients

• Ferric ammonium citrate 225 mg/15 mL
• Nicotinamide 50 mg/15 mL
• Pyridoxine hydrochloride 1.5 mg/15 mL
• Cyanocobalamin 7.5 mcg/15 mL
• Zinc sulfate heptahydrate 44.4 mg/15 mL

Direction

Age 2–5 years: 5 mL; 5–12 years: 10 mL; adults and over 12 years: 15–30 mL. Take twice daily after meals or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Nausea
• abdominal discomfort
• constipation
• diarrhoea
• or dark stools may occur with oral iron.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the stated dose
• iron overdose can be dangerous
• especially for children.
• Consult a physician before use during pregnancy
• with another iron product
• or if anaemia has not been medically assessed.
