Silkron Clotrimazole 10 mg/g / Gentamicin 1 mg/g / Betamethasone dipropionate 640 mcg/g

Indication

For corticosteroid-responsive inflammatory dermatoses complicated by susceptible fungal or bacterial infection, including eczema, dermatitis, intertrigo, dermatophytosis, pityriasis versicolor and cutaneous candidiasis.

Ingredients

• Clotrimazole 10 mg/g
• Gentamicin sulfate equivalent to gentamicin 1 mg/g
• Betamethasone dipropionate 640 mcg/g

Direction

Apply an appropriate amount gently to the affected area one to several times daily, or use exactly as directed by the prescriber.

Side effects

• Burning
• itching
• irritation
• dryness
• rash or allergic contact dermatitis may occur.
• Prolonged corticosteroid or antibiotic use may cause skin thinning
• stretch marks
• colour changes
• sensitisation or secondary infection.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine for external use only
• avoid the eyes and broken skin unless directed.
• Use the smallest amount for the shortest prescribed period
• stop and seek medical advice if irritation
• allergy or worsening infection occurs.
