Clobate 0.05%

Indication

Short-term relief of inflammation and itching in corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses such as eczema or dermatitis, when prescribed by a clinician.

Ingredients

• Clobetasol propionate 0.5 mg/g (0.05%)

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed by the prescriber. Use the smallest amount for the shortest period and stop when control is achieved.

Side effects

• Burning
• dryness
• redness
• itching or irritation may occur.
• Prolonged or extensive use may cause skin thinning
• stretch marks
• pigment change
• secondary infection or systemic corticosteroid effects.

Precautions

• Very potent topical corticosteroid: avoid face
• eyes
• groin and underarms and do not cover with a dressing unless directed.
• Do not use longer than prescribed
• seek reassessment if there is no improvement or signs of infection appear.
