Indication

Short-term treatment of moderate pain, especially after surgery, or fever when intravenous administration is clinically justified.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 1000 mg per 100 mL (10 mg/mL)

Direction

Prescription intravenous infusion only. Dose by body weight, liver-risk factors and total paracetamol exposure; administration must be performed by a healthcare professional according to the prescribing information.

Side effects

• Nausea
• malaise
• low blood pressure or increased liver enzymes may occur.
• Serious skin or allergic reactions and liver injury are rare but require urgent care.

Precautions

• Do not combine with other paracetamol
• containing products or exceed the prescribed total daily dose.
• Use extra caution and dose adjustment in low body weight
• liver or severe kidney impairment
• chronic alcohol use
• malnutrition or dehydration.
