Mox-500 Amoxicillin 500 mg

Indication

Prescription treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including selected ear, nose, throat, genitourinary, skin and respiratory tract infections.

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin 500 mg (as amoxicillin trihydrate)

Direction

Take exactly as prescribed, at the instructed 8- or 12-hour interval, and complete the full course even if symptoms improve. The dose and duration depend on the infection and kidney function.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea or rash may occur.
• Stop and seek urgent care for breathing difficulty
• facial swelling
• severe blistering rash
• or another serious allergic reaction
• contact a clinician for severe or bloody diarrhea.

Precautions

• Do not use with a history of serious hypersensitivity to amoxicillin
• penicillins
• cephalosporins or another beta
• lactam antibiotic.
• Use only for proven or strongly suspected bacterial infection. Dose adjustment may be needed in severe renal impairment
• complete the prescribed course to reduce resistance.
