Indication

For susceptible bacterial infections such as uncomplicated urinary tract infection, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.

Ingredients

• Cefixime 100 mg (as cefixime trihydrate)

Direction

For oral use. Take only as prescribed and complete the full prescribed course.

Side effects

• Diarrhea
• nausea
• loose stools
• and abdominal pain may occur.
• Seek medical help for a severe allergic reaction or severe or persistent diarrhea.

Precautions

• Do not use after a serious allergy to cefixime or other cephalosporins
• tell the prescriber about penicillin allergy
• kidney disease
• and other medicines.
• Use only for a proven or strongly suspected bacterial infection.
