Indication
Temporary relief of mild to moderate pain and fever and symptomatic relief of rheumatic inflammatory pain in adults.
Ingredients
- Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) 500 mg per gastro
- resistant tablet
Direction
Swallow the gastro-resistant tablet whole with water. Adults: take 1–2 tablets, repeat after at least 4 hours if needed, maximum 6 tablets in 24 hours. Older adults: take 1 tablet, repeat after at least 4 hours if needed, maximum 4 tablets in 24 hours. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time.
Side effects
- Indigestion
- stomach pain
- nausea
- easy bruising
- or prolonged bleeding may occur.
- Stop and seek urgent care for vomiting blood
- black stools
- severe stomach pain
- wheezing
- facial swelling
- shock
- or another severe allergic reaction.
Precautions
- Do not use with aspirin or NSAID allergy
- active or recurrent peptic ulcer or bleeding
- bleeding disorders
- severe kidney or liver impairment
- or with high
- dose methotrexate.
- Ask a healthcare professional before use if aged 60 or older
- pregnant or breastfeeding
- taking anticoagulants
- steroids or other NSAIDs
- drinking alcohol regularly
- or if symptoms persist. Children and teenagers with chickenpox or flu
- like illness must not use aspirin because of Reye's syndrome risk.
