Sutra Sucralfate 1 g per 15 mL sachet

Indication

Treatment of active duodenal ulcer and package-labeled treatment of gastric mucosal lesions associated with gastritis and reflux esophagitis.

Ingredients

• Sucralfate 1 g per 15 mL sachet

Direction

Adults: take one 15 mL sachet three times daily one hour before meals. For gastroesophageal reflux, the package states one sachet four times daily, one hour before meals and at bedtime; follow the prescriber's directions.

Side effects

• Constipation is the most common adverse effect
• nausea
• indigestion
• dry mouth
• diarrhoea or dizziness may occur.
• Stop use and obtain urgent care for facial or throat swelling
• breathing difficulty
• hives or another severe allergic reaction.

Precautions

• For oral use only. Use cautiously in chronic kidney failure because aluminium can accumulate.
• Separate other oral medicines from sucralfate by about two hours because absorption may be reduced.
