Gaviscon 500 mg/267 mg per 10 mL

Indication

Symptomatic treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux with heartburn, acid regurgitation, or acid indigestion.

Ingredients

• Sodium alginate 500 mg and sodium bicarbonate 267 mg per 10 mL sachet

Direction

Knead the sachet before opening. Adults and children 12 years and older: take 1–2 sachets after the three main meals and, if needed, at bedtime, up to 4 times daily. Consult a clinician if symptoms persist beyond 7 days.

Side effects

• Bloating

• or diarrhoea may occur.
• Stop and seek urgent care for rash
• itching
• facial or throat swelling
• breathing difficulty
• or another allergic reaction.

Precautions

• Do not use with allergy to a component. Each sachet contains substantial sodium and calcium
• ask a clinician with heart
• kidney
• or calcium disorders or a sodium
• restricted diet.
• Separate other oral medicines by at least 2 hours. Parabens may cause delayed allergic reactions
• seek advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
