Indication

Prevention and treatment of symptoms in chronic obstructive airway disorders with reversible airflow limitation, including bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive bronchitis.

Ingredients

• Ipratropium bromide anhydrous 250 micrograms/mL
• Fenoterol hydrobromide 500 micrograms/mL

Direction

For oral inhalation only with an electric nebuliser or respirator. Use the individual dose and dilution directed by a clinician and read the enclosed leaflet before use.

Side effects

• Tremor
• nervousness
• headache
• dizziness
• dry mouth
• cough
• throat irritation
• nausea
• or palpitations may occur.
• Seek urgent care for paradoxical bronchospasm
• severe allergy
• chest pain
• marked fast heartbeat
• or eye pain with blurred vision.

Precautions

• Use only as medically directed
• seek urgent care if breathing worsens rapidly or the usual dose becomes less effective.
• Avoid eye exposure to the nebulised solution and tell the clinician about heart disease
• glaucoma
• urinary obstruction
• diabetes
• thyroid disease
• pregnancy
• and other bronchodilators.
