Extra Moisturizing Nasal Spray Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.05% (5 mg/15 mL)

Indication

Temporary relief of nasal congestion caused by the common cold, hay fever, upper respiratory allergies or sinusitis; reduces swelling of nasal passages for freer breathing.

Ingredients

• Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.05% (5 mg/15 mL)

Direction

Shake well. Adults and children 6 to under 12 years with adult supervision: spray two or three times in each nostril every 10–12 hours as needed. Do not exceed two doses in 24 hours or use for more than three days.

Side effects

• Temporary burning
• stinging
• sneezing or increased nasal discharge may occur.
• Prolonged or excessive use may cause rebound nasal congestion
• stop use and ask a doctor if symptoms persist.

Precautions

• Ask a doctor before use for heart disease
• high blood pressure
• thyroid disease
• diabetes or difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate.
• Do not share the container. Frequent or prolonged use may cause congestion to recur or worsen. Ask a health professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
