Indication

For physician-directed treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, including certain urinary, respiratory, skin, bone and joint, and gastrointestinal infections.

Ingredients

• Ciprofloxacin 500 mg

Direction

Prescription medicine. Take exactly as directed by the physician and complete the prescribed course. Swallow with water; follow the leaflet regarding separation from antacids, iron, calcium, or zinc products.

Side effects

• Nausea
• diarrhea
• headache
• or dizziness may occur.
• Serious effects can include tendon inflammation or rupture
• peripheral neuropathy
• central nervous system effects
• or severe allergy.

Precautions

• Stop treatment and seek medical advice promptly for tendon pain
• numbness or tingling
• severe mood or neurologic symptoms
• or an allergic reaction.
• Avoid in people with myasthenia gravis unless the prescriber determines it is necessary
• kidney impairment may require dose adjustment.
