Indication

Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis or urticaria; dry irritating cough; and occasional transient insomnia where appropriate.

Ingredients

• Alimemazine 5 mg (as tartrate)

Direction

For allergy or cough, adults commonly take 1–2 tablets per dose as needed, maximum 4 tablets/day. For transient insomnia, adults take 1–4 tablets once at bedtime. Use for only a few days and follow medical advice.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• dizziness
• dry mouth
• constipation
• blurred vision or low blood pressure may occur.

Precautions

• Causes marked drowsiness. Avoid alcohol
• driving and other sedatives. Seek advice for pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• breathing disorders
• glaucoma
• urinary retention or use in children.
