Indication

Short-term relief of occasional constipation in adults.

Ingredients

• Crystallizable sorbitol 70% 4.465 g
• Sodium citrate 0.450 g
• Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate 70% 0.0645 g per single
• dose container

Direction

Rectal use only; do not swallow. Follow the leaflet for single-dose administration. It generally acts within 5–20 minutes.

Side effects

• Rectal discomfort
• burning
• abdominal pain or diarrhea may occur
• local skin reactions are possible.

Precautions

• Do not use during pregnancy unless no therapeutic alternative is available. Avoid prolonged use
• seek care for persistent constipation
• abdominal pain
• bleeding or suspected bowel obstruction.
