Indication
Symptomatic treatment of constipation; may also be prescribed for hepatic encephalopathy.
Ingredients
- Lactulose 10 g per 15 mL sachet
Direction
Take orally according to the leaflet or a clinician's advice. Swallow the sachet contents immediately and discard a partly used sachet.
Side effects
- Gas
- abdominal pain
- nausea
- or diarrhea may occur
- especially at excessive doses.
Precautions
- Do not use with intestinal obstruction or unexplained abdominal pain. Seek advice if constipation persists or diarrhea develops.
