Indication
- Chronic hyperuricemia in gout patients - Prevention of urate crystal deposition - Management of symptomatic gout
Ingredients
- Febuxostat
Direction
Take one tablet orally once daily. Can be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Liver function abnormalities
- Nausea
- Joint pain
- Skin rash
- Dizziness
Precautions
- History of cardiovascular disease
- Monitor for liver enzyme elevations
- Not for asymptomatic hyperuricemia
- Initial gout flares may occur
- Monitor for signs of stroke
