Getformin 2 mg + 500 mg

Indication

As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood glucose control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when combination treatment is appropriate.

Ingredients

• Glimepiride 2 mg
• Metformin hydrochloride 500 mg

Direction

Use only as prescribed. Take with meals at the dose and frequency directed by the prescriber; do not change the dose without medical advice.

Side effects

• Hypoglycemia may occur
• particularly with missed meals.
• Nausea
• diarrhea
• abdominal discomfort
• or other digestive symptoms may occur.

Precautions

• Kidney function should be assessed
• metformin can rarely cause serious lactic acidosis
• especially with renal impairment.
• Tell the prescriber before iodinated contrast procedures and about pregnancy
• liver disease
• alcohol use
• and all other medicines.
