Indication

Prescription treatment to improve blood glucose control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Ingredients

• Empagliflozin 10 mg

Direction

Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily, and maintain adequate hydration.

Side effects

• Increased urination
• thirst
• genital or urinary infection
• dizziness
• or dehydration may occur.

Precautions

• Kidney function should be assessed. Seek urgent care for symptoms of ketoacidosis. Discuss fasting
• surgery
• serious illness
• pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• and diuretic use with the prescriber.
