Indication

Prescription systemic corticosteroid for conditions requiring rapid anti-inflammatory or immunosuppressive treatment when oral therapy is not feasible.

Ingredients

• Hydrocortisone sodium succinate equivalent to hydrocortisone 100 mg per vial

Direction

For intravenous or intramuscular use by a qualified healthcare professional only. Reconstitute aseptically as stated on the pack and use immediately; dose depends on the condition and must be prescribed.

• fluid retention
• mood changes
• stomach upset
• or injection reactions.
• Longer or high
• dose treatment can suppress adrenal function and cause serious corticosteroid adverse effects.

Precautions

• Do not self
• administer. Tell the prescriber about infections
• recent vaccines
• diabetes
• hypertension
• ulcers
• osteoporosis
• glaucoma
• pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• and all medicines.
• Systemic fungal infection and hypersensitivity are major contraindications
• monitoring and gradual withdrawal may be required after ongoing therapy.
