Ditap Infant Drops Brompheniramine 0.8 mg + Phenylephrine 1 mg per ml

Indication

Temporary relief of runny nose and nasal congestion associated with colds or allergy, when recommended by a clinician.

Ingredients

• Each 1 ml contains brompheniramine maleate 0.8 mg and phenylephrine hydrochloride 1 mg.

Direction

Package doses 3–4 times daily: 1–3 months 0.75–1 ml; 3–6 months 1–1.25 ml; 6–12 months 1.25–1.5 ml; 1–2 years 1.5–2 ml; or 0.15 ml/kg, only as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• May cause drowsiness or excitation
• dry mouth
• irritability
• fast heartbeat
• raised blood pressure
• urinary difficulty or blurred vision.

Precautions

• Infant cold medicines can cause serious harm if misdosed. Use only on a clinician's advice with the supplied dropper. Do not combine with other antihistamines/decongestants or MAO inhibitors
• seek help for breathing difficulty.
