Indication

Systemic antibacterial treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria and Gram-positive organisms, when prescribed by a physician.

Ingredients

• Lincomycin 500 mg per capsule

Direction

Take orally only as prescribed by a physician. Adults commonly take 500 mg every 6–8 hours; take on an empty stomach and complete the prescribed course.

Side effects

• Diarrhea
• sometimes severe
• nausea
• abdominal pain
• or allergic reactions may occur. Seek medical advice if side effects are severe or persistent.

Precautions

• Use with caution in hepatic or renal impairment because of the risk of antibiotic
• associated or pseudomembranous colitis. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
