Indication
Symptomatic treatment of an irritating, non-productive cough when no specific cause requiring treatment has been demonstrated.
Ingredients
- Promethazine hydrochloride 3.6 mg per 5 mL
- Codeine phosphate 9 mg per 5 mL
Direction
Treatment should be short. Adults: 1 tablespoon in the morning and evening on average. Children aged 8 to 14 years: 1 or 2 teaspoons in the morning and evening according to age.
Side effects
- Constipation
- drowsiness
- dizziness
- nausea
- vomiting
- bronchospasm
- allergic skin reactions
- or respiratory depression may occur. At higher
- than
- therapeutic doses
- dependence and withdrawal may occur.
Precautions
- Prescription medicine. Contraindicated for asthmatic cough
- respiratory insufficiency
- and children under 8 years. Avoid during the first trimester of pregnancy and breastfeeding unless directed by a doctor. May cause drowsiness
- use caution when driving or operating machinery. Avoid alcohol and use caution with intracranial hypertension.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
