Indication
- Emergency contraception - Prevention of pregnancy after intercourse - Contraceptive failure or unprotected sex
Ingredients
- Levonorgestrel
Direction
Take one tablet orally as soon as possible, preferably within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours after unprotected intercourse.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Lower abdominal pain
- Fatigue and headache
- Dizziness
- Changes in menstrual bleeding patterns
- Breast tenderness
Precautions
- Not for regular birth control use
- Will not terminate an existing pregnancy
- Does not protect against HIV/STIs
- Use with caution in liver disease
- Effectiveness may decrease with higher BMI
