Glucophage 850 mg

Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes, particularly when diet and exercise are not sufficient to control blood glucose.

Ingredients

• Metformin hydrochloride 850 mg per film
• coated tablet

Direction

Take orally exactly as directed by the physician and according to the package leaflet; swallow the film-coated tablet with food or as prescribed.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain
• and loss of appetite may occur
• especially when treatment starts. Consult a doctor urgently for symptoms of lactic acidosis.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver problems
• acute illness
• heavy alcohol use
• pregnancy
• or planned contrast imaging
• follow the package leaflet.
