Diamicron MR 30 mg

Indication

Used with diet, exercise, and weight management to lower blood glucose in adults with type 2 diabetes when these measures alone are insufficient.

Ingredients

• Gliclazide 30 mg
• modified release

Direction

Take orally exactly as prescribed, usually with breakfast. Swallow modified-release tablets as directed and do not take an extra dose after a missed dose.

Side effects

• Low blood sugar is the most important possible effect
• nausea
• indigestion
• abdominal pain
• constipation
• diarrhea
• rash
• or itching may also occur. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if a serious reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Monitor blood glucose as directed. Do not use for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Take care with missed meals
• kidney or liver disease
• and medicines that can alter blood glucose.
