Indication

Prolonged-release valproate treatment for epilepsy, including generalized or partial seizures, under specialist medical supervision.

Ingredients

• Sodium valproate 333 mg and valproic acid 145 mg
• equivalent to 500 mg sodium valproate

Direction

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed. Swallow prolonged-release tablets as directed and do not stop treatment abruptly without medical advice.

Side effects

• Possible effects include nausea

• sleepiness
• weight gain
• hair changes
• and changes in liver
• blood
