Tasmi 40 mg

Indication

Tasmi contains Tamsulosin hydrochloride, an alpha-1 adrenoceptor blocker used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), including urinary hesitancy, frequency, nocturia, and incomplete bladder emptying.

Ingredients

• Tamsulosin hydrochloride 40 mg

Direction

Adults: 0.4 mg (one capsule) once daily, taken orally approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day. Swallow whole; do not crush or chew.

Side effects

• Common: dizziness
• abnormal ejaculation (retrograde ejaculation).
• Common: headache
• asthenia.
• Uncommon: orthostatic hypotension
• palpitations
• rhinitis.
• Rare: syncope
• priapism.
• Very rare: severe skin reactions (Stevens
• Johnson syndrome).
• Rare: blurred vision.

Precautions

• Orthostatic hypotension may occur
• use caution when rising from sitting or lying positions.
• Contraindicated in patients with a history of orthostatic hypotension.
• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment.
• Caution with concomitant use of other alpha
• blockers
• antihypertensives
• or PDE
• 5 inhibitors.
• Intraoperative Floppy Iris Syndrome (IFIS) may occur during cataract surgery
• inform ophthalmologist.
• Not for use in women or children.
