Indication

Used for Ménière’s disease, whose symptoms may include vertigo, nausea, ringing in the ears, and hearing loss.

Ingredients
  • Betahistine dihydrochloride 16 mg per tablet
Direction

Take by mouth with water exactly as directed by a doctor. Adult dosing is individualized; for 16 mg tablets, the referenced leaflet describes one-half to one tablet three times daily, preferably with meals.

Side effects
  • Common effects may include nausea

  • and headache.
  • Mild stomach discomfort
  • vomiting
  • stomach pain
  • bloating
  • or allergic reactions may occur. Stop and seek urgent medical help for signs of a serious allergic reaction.
Precautions
  • Do not use if allergic to betahistine or any ingredient
  • or if you have pheochromocytoma.
  • Tell a doctor if you have or previously had a stomach ulcer or have asthma.
  • Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only when advised by a doctor. The medicine is not recommended below 18 years of age.
