Prezen Doxylamine Succinate 10 mg and Pyridoxine Hcl. 10 mg

Indication

Prezen contains a combination of an antihistamine (Doxylamine) and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), used for the treatment of nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (morning sickness) in women who do not respond to conservative management.

Ingredients

• Doxylamine succinate 10 mg
• Pyridoxine hydrochloride 10 mg

Direction

Adults (pregnant women): Initially two tablets at bedtime. If nausea persists, the dose may be adjusted under physician guidance. Take orally, swallowed whole.

Side effects

• Common: drowsiness
• somnolence.
• Common: dizziness
• headache.
• Uncommon: dry mouth
• constipation.
• Uncommon: fatigue.

Precautions

• For use in pregnant women only
• under medical supervision.
• Contraindicated in patients taking MAO inhibitors.
• May cause drowsiness — do not drive or operate machinery.
• Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to doxylamine or pyridoxine.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Use with caution in patients with asthma
• glaucoma
• or urinary retention.
