Indication
Flox-O contains ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic indicated for urinary tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, sexually transmitted infections, and skin and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible organisms.
Ingredients
- Ofloxacin 200 mg
Direction
Adults: 200β400 mg twice daily for 5β10 days. Take with plenty of water with or without food.
Side effects
- Nausea and gastrointestinal discomfort.
- Headache and dizziness.
- Photosensitivity.
- Tendinitis (rare).
- CNS effects.
- Allergic reactions.
Precautions
- Not recommended in children under 18 years.
- Risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture.
- QT prolongation risk.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure.
- Antacids and iron reduce absorption β take at least 2 hours apart.
- Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
