Candid (Clotrimazole Ear Drops) 1% (15 ml bottle)

Indication

Antifungal ear drops used for the treatment of otomycosis (fungal infection of the outer ear canal) caused by susceptible fungi such as Aspergillus and Candida species.

Ingredients

• Clotrimazole 10 mg/mL (1% w/v)

Direction

Adults and children: Instil 2–3 drops into the affected ear 2–3 times daily for 2–4 weeks, or as directed by a physician. Gently clean the ear canal before application if necessary.

Side effects

• Local burning

• or irritation in the ear canal.
• Rare: allergic/hypersensitivity reactions.

Precautions

• Not for use if eardrum is perforated.
• Not for ophthalmic use.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Discontinue and consult a doctor if irritation or hypersensitivity occurs.
• Keep out of reach of children.
