Indication
Antifungal ear drops used for the treatment of otomycosis (fungal infection of the outer ear canal) caused by susceptible fungi such as Aspergillus and Candida species.
Ingredients
- Clotrimazole 10 mg/mL (1% w/v)
Direction
Adults and children: Instil 2β3 drops into the affected ear 2β3 times daily for 2β4 weeks, or as directed by a physician. Gently clean the ear canal before application if necessary.
Side effects
- Local burning
- stinging
- or irritation in the ear canal.
- Rare: allergic/hypersensitivity reactions.
Precautions
- Not for use if eardrum is perforated.
- Not for ophthalmic use.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
- Discontinue and consult a doctor if irritation or hypersensitivity occurs.
- Keep out of reach of children.
