Diaryle 200 mg

Indication

Intestinal antiseptic used for the treatment of acute bacterial diarrhoea and enterocolitis caused by susceptible organisms. Acts locally in the gastrointestinal tract without significant systemic absorption.

Ingredients

• Nifuroxazide 200 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 6 years: 200 mg (1 tablet or 5 mL suspension if applicable) 3–4 times daily for 5–7 days, or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated.
• Rare: nausea
• vomiting.
• Allergic reactions (rare).

Precautions

• Not absorbed systemically
• not effective for systemic infections.
• Consult a doctor if diarrhoea is accompanied by high fever or blood in stool.
• Ensure adequate hydration during diarrhoea.
• Not recommended for children under 6 years without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
