CIPROF (Ciprofloxacin Eye/Ear Drops) 0.3% (3 mg per mL)

Indication

Antibiotic eye/ear drops used for treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, and otitis externa caused by susceptible bacteria.

Ingredients

• Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride 0.3% w/v (3 mg per mL)

Direction

Eye: 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 2–4 hours while awake. Ear: 3–4 drops into the affected ear 2–3 times daily. Duration as prescribed.

Side effects

• Local burning or stinging.
• Transient blurred vision (eye use).
• White crystalline precipitate on corneal surface (rare
• self
• resolving).
• Rare: hypersensitivity reactions.

Precautions

• Do not use if eardrum is perforated (for ear use).
• Avoid contact lenses during ophthalmic use.
• Do not touch dropper tip to any surface.
• Prolonged use may cause superinfection.
• Keep out of reach of children.
