Indication
Combined corticosteroid and antihistamine tablet used for the treatment of allergic disorders including allergic rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema, contact dermatitis, and other hypersensitivity conditions requiring dual anti-inflammatory and antihistaminic action.
Ingredients
- Betamethasone 0.25 mg
- Dexchlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg
Direction
Adults: 1 tablet 2β3 times daily, or as directed by a physician. Take with food to reduce gastric irritation.
Side effects
- Drowsiness
- sedation.
- Dry mouth.
- Gastric irritation.
- With prolonged corticosteroid use: hyperglycaemia
- weight gain
- adrenal suppression.
- Rare: hypersensitivity reactions.
Precautions
- Contains a corticosteroid (betamethasone)
- do not use long
- term without medical supervision.
- May cause drowsiness due to dexchlorpheniramine
- avoid driving or operating machinery.
- Avoid alcohol.
- Use with caution in patients with hypertension
- diabetes
- peptic ulcer
- or osteoporosis.
- Not recommended in pregnancy without medical advice.
- Keep out of reach of children.
