ALMETAMIN Tab. Betamethasone (0.25 mg) + Dexchlorpheniramine maleate (2 mg)

Indication

Combined corticosteroid and antihistamine tablet used for the treatment of allergic disorders including allergic rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema, contact dermatitis, and other hypersensitivity conditions requiring dual anti-inflammatory and antihistaminic action.

Ingredients

• Betamethasone 0.25 mg
• Dexchlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg

Direction

Adults: 1 tablet 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a physician. Take with food to reduce gastric irritation.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• sedation.
• Dry mouth.
• Gastric irritation.
• With prolonged corticosteroid use: hyperglycaemia
• weight gain
• adrenal suppression.
• Rare: hypersensitivity reactions.

Precautions

• Contains a corticosteroid (betamethasone)
• do not use long
• term without medical supervision.
• May cause drowsiness due to dexchlorpheniramine
• avoid driving or operating machinery.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Use with caution in patients with hypertension
• diabetes
• peptic ulcer
• or osteoporosis.
• Not recommended in pregnancy without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
