Tobrex (Tobramycin 0.3%) 3 mg per mL

Indication

Ophthalmic antibiotic eye drops/ointment used for the treatment of superficial bacterial infections of the eye and its adnexa, including bacterial conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and blepharoconjunctivitis caused by susceptible organisms.

Ingredients

• Tobramycin 0.3% w/v (3 mg per mL)

Direction

Eye drops: Instil 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4 hours. In severe infections: instil every 1–2 hours until improvement, then reduce frequency. Eye ointment: Apply small amount to the conjunctival sac 2–3 times daily.

Precautions

• Not for injection or oral use.
• Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment.
• Do not touch tip of container to eye.
• Prolonged use may lead to overgrowth of resistant organisms.
• Discard unused portion after treatment.
• Keep out of reach of children.
