Mixagrip Extra Paracetamol 500 mg, Phenylephrine HCl 10 mg, Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg

Indication

Multi-symptom cold and flu preparation used for the relief of symptoms associated with common cold and flu including fever, headache, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and sore throat.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 10 mg
• Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg

Direction

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: 1 tablet every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum 4 tablets in 24 hours. Take with or after food if gastric upset occurs.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• sedation.
• Dry mouth.
• Headache.
• Increased blood pressure (due to phenylephrine).
• Rare: allergic reactions
• hepatotoxicity with overdose.

Precautions

• Do not exceed recommended dose — paracetamol overdose can cause severe liver damage.
• Avoid concurrent use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Use with caution in patients with hypertension
• heart disease
• hyperthyroidism
• or diabetes (due to phenylephrine).
• May cause drowsiness due to chlorpheniramine
• avoid driving or machinery.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Not recommended for children under 12 years.
• Keep out of reach of children.
