Beprosalic ointment Betamethasone 0.05% + Salicylic Acid 3%

Indication

Topical corticosteroid combined with keratolytic agent. Used for the treatment of psoriasis, chronic eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis, and other hyperkeratotic skin conditions where combined anti-inflammatory and keratolytic action is needed.

Ingredients

• Betamethasone Valerate 0.05% w/w
• Salicylic Acid 3% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area(s) once or twice daily and rub in gently. Do not apply to large areas or under occlusion unless directed by a physician. Review treatment after 4 weeks.

Side effects

• Local burning
• itching
• or irritation.
• Skin atrophy
• striae with prolonged use.
• Telangiectasia.
• Folliculitis.
• Systemic corticosteroid effects with extensive application.

Precautions

• Do not use on the face
• groin
• or axillae for extended periods.
• Not for use on broken or infected skin.
• Avoid occlusive dressings unless directed by a doctor.
• Prolonged use may cause skin atrophy

• Not recommended in pregnancy or on infants without medical advice.
• Contains salicylic acid — avoid use on large body surface areas in children.
• Keep out of reach of children.
