Candid Cream Clotrimazole 1% w/w

Indication

Topical antifungal cream used for the treatment of fungal skin infections including tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm), cutaneous candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor.

Ingredients

• Clotrimazole 1% w/w

Direction

Adults and children over 2 years: Apply a thin layer to the affected area and surrounding skin 2–3 times daily for 2–4 weeks (up to 6 weeks for athlete's foot). Continue use for 2 weeks after symptoms resolve to prevent recurrence.

Side effects

• Local skin irritation
• burning
• or stinging.
• Erythema (redness) at application site.
• Rare: allergic contact dermatitis.

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not use on open wounds.
• Discontinue and consult a doctor if irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
• Not recommended for vaginal use (use clotrimazole pessary instead).
• Keep out of reach of children.
